News: Varsity USA Softball News. Spring Softball 2026 Our Leagues started in early April 2026

All teams are registered for Liability coverage. We have inspected the Berry Homes for the upcoming season including on Fridays. we have Sunday AM fields including the Berry Homes. Interested in Umpiring for 2026 softball & or youth baseball will start in Spring, 2026. We have Umpire Training has already started for 2026. The Varsity Umpires Association is still accepting umpires and teams for 2026. Training for new umpires will continue through out the Fall. Call John Gino (917) 971-0734 for details & how to sign up. Our Softball leagues are still accepting applications for our Spring 2026 Umpires for our youth and adult teams. We have Berry Homes Weeknights & Sunday. Softball shortage (Clinchers) for the 2026 Softball Leagues. Just for Kicks has Clincher softballs. Go to JFK on Lincoln Ave asap for Clinchers!!! Remember the league is keeping the pitching innings for each team. To qualify for playoffs each team pitcher(s) must have 21 innings (3 games) to qualify. *Rules for teams playing at the Berry Homes: No metal cleats! No alcohol by order of NYC Parks Dept. Our Fall 2024 season includes 3 divisions including Berry Homes (lights). All Varsity USA Softball Co Ed, youth/adult leagues & umpires must be registered & sanctioned by USA Softball of America. All Varsity USA Teams & Umpires (Softball & Baseball) are certified & receive liability insurance by Bollingers Ins. Co. NJ. All Varsity/USA Umpires are trained & must be in the Varsity/USA uniform.
